Autumn Forest
The Seasons is my colourful ode to the beauty and the diversity of nature. Four photographic assemblages are translated into highly detailed Jacquard tapestries, expressing the distinct feeling and flourishing at the beginning of the seasons Summer Garden, Spring Field, Autumn Forest and Winter Sleep. Abundant flowers, plants, birds, insects and butterflies are flowing, blossoming and intermingling into a harmonious symbiosis between the organic and the graphic.
From digital to tactile
For Autumn Forest I selected, re-colored, altered and adjusted various elements of more than 100 images and photos to create the bursting composition. I translated this digital artwork to Jacquard woven textile using various weaving techniques. The yarns are from NewLife® Polyester and all is made within a sustainable textile production in The North of Europe.
